New Teacher Academy (NTA)

Who Should Attend?

The NTA is for teachers new to the profession, new to Broward County Public Schools or transitioning from one level to another (i.e., elementary to middle).    This is an exciting opportunity for new teachers to engage in professional development customized to provide instructional strategies, tools and resources to support teaching and learning.

What is NTA?

 The NTA is a professional learning opportunity to develop teachers in making an initial classroom experience positive and rewarding for the teacher and students.  Content topics include, but not limited to, Classroom Management, Elementary and Secondary Content Areas, Lesson Planning, Florida Standards, Formative Assessment, Learning Management System (LMS), Response to Intervention (RtI), BrIDGES, and Ethics/Professional Standards.


Participants will earn the stipend rate of $15 per hour for attendance at all four days, completion of follow-up activity, and submission of online feedback in MyLearningPlan.
